About the Collection

For Valentine’s Day,  Gnosis has alchemized a chocolate that fully lives up to the original meaning of “valentine” (in Latin, valens): “worthy,” “strong,” and “powerful.”  And it’s all created 100% by hand in our Long Island City kitchen and folded into raw, organic, vegan chocolate that’s free of soy, gluten, dairy, and refined sugar.

You already know that chocolate is a true laboratory of love. While there are a great many agents in nature which boost libido and enhance sexual function, chocolate alone actually promotes the brain chemistry of being in love. Its chemicals stimulate our brain juices to flow into rivers of desire: serotonin to heighten sexual excitation, desire, and responsiveness; dopamine to intensify pleasure; anandamine (the “bliss chemical”) to induce euphoria, and; phenylethylamine (PEA - the “Love Chemical”), a chemical that  mimics the brain chemistry of a person in love, energizing us, and enhancing our sense of well-being.

The invitation from the truffles in the Passion Collection is warm, their intent, clear: “Enjoy...” But which to try first?
