Heads and tails appear opposites…until we hold the coin at arm’s length and realize: they’re two aspects of the same item. Women and Men? Opposites? Perhaps every so often(!) But, like heads and tails, male and female are different aspect of the same item – of the whole.
Dazzling Darkness is for those who want chocolate so intensely dark that no light can escape. They crave a cacao-crammed, raw, bitter taste as dense as the dime-sized universe at the Big Bang. If Dazzling Darkness weren't as smooth and creamy, it would be like eating the chocolate bean, itself… the dark chocolate lover’s dream come true!
In this bar Balinese, Ecuadorian, and Peruvian cacao take center stage. In the darkness, you will discover love and bliss through neurotransmitters (seratonin, dopamine, PEA, arginine, anandamide); release tension with magnesium; open your heart with theobromine.
At Gnosis, we agree with Emerson: “…it requires the union of two (apparent) opposites to make the perfect whole.” To marry belief and action, and our talk with our walk, we’ve created “Dazzling Darkness” to maintain Gnosis’s cosmic balance and unity, and encourage your own. It is out of darkness that our universe has emerged and shone. And we who, from time to time may experience darkness in some form... we must follow the blueprint by building faith and understanding during the darkness so that, when it lifts, we shine brighter for it.
As T. Freke and P. Gandy wrote in the book that inspired me to write the word "Gnosis" on my first chocolate bar sold to a store:
"In a poetic attempt to capture this paradox, Gregory of Nyssa and Dionysius call it the 'dazzling darkness'. Just as light is darkness when it has no objects upon which to reflect, so Consciousness is unconscious when it is witnessing no experiences. The one consciousness of 'god' is the dazzling darkness. It appears as the light of consciousness when it has something to illuminate. What it illuminates is an infinite number of psyches - sequences of experience [...]."
That's in a section called "The One Represented as Many."
